As part of its 4R strategy—Reman, Repair, Reuse, Recycle—remanufacturing plays a central role in Stellantis’ SUSTAINera business unit. It helps meet the growing demand for affordable and sustainable solutions among end customers and repair shops—without compromising on quality, according to the company. All parts are remanufactured to OEM specifications, with the same performance characteristics and warranty terms as genuine MOPAR parts. In doing so, they help protect the environment by saving up to 80 percent in raw materials and up to 40 percent in CO₂ emissions compared to new parts.

Expansion of the Portfolio of Remanufactured Parts for HEVs

SUSTAINera has expanded its range of remanufactured parts. This range supports the transition to electric and hybrid vehicles and includes the following parts:

e-DCT (electrified dual-clutch transmission): The portfolio of automatic transmissions is officially being expanded to include transmissions for mild hybrids (MHEV). To enable the vehicle to reach the desired speed, gear shifts in the e-DCT transmission are performed using a dual clutch. Every remanufactured unit undergoes rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure OEM-level performance and reliability.
Electrically driven compressor: An essential component of the air conditioning system is the electrically driven compressor, which generates cool air in the passenger compartment. The remanufacturing process involves the systematic replacement of wear parts, dimensional inspections, and rigorous leak and performance tests in accordance with applicable greenhouse gas regulations. This newly introduced product is an important addition to the portfolio of parts for battery-electric vehicles, as the REMAN offering for this component had previously been limited to vehicles with internal combustion engines.
High-voltage batteries: Reconditioned high-voltage batteries are now available in the aftermarket for most of Stellantis’ battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Collaboration with Valeo

In addition to expanding its portfolio for electric and hybrid vehicles, SUSTAINera is broadening its REMAN product line for conventional powertrains. The official global launch of a remanufactured NOx sensor marks an important step in this effort. The component underscores the “strength of the partnership with Valeo.” Following the successful market launch of a remanufactured LED headlight in 2025, this collaboration has once again produced a market innovation that represents a solution that is as sustainable as it is affordable and high-quality.
