Hufschmied Zerspanungssysteme GmbH in Hall 3, Booth B67

The focus of Hufschmied Zerspanungssysteme GmbH's presentation is the Hard-Line series of milling tools. To demonstrate the performance of its tools in producing high surface quality, Hufschmied will perform live machining of a steel injection mold on a Grob G150 5-axis universal machining center at the booth.

Two milling tools from Hufschmied's Hard-Line, optimized specifically for machining steels up to 72 HRC, are particularly in focus at the AMB presentation: The HHF667, a HVPT finishing mill (high velocity performance tool), features a special geometry and the multi-phase hard milling coating TL12, which ensures low wear during the machining of CrNi steels. Its polished chip geometry allows for high chip evacuation speeds and increases process reliability against chip jamming. The second tool introduced is the Mini-Torus mill HC643MUT, the only Z3-Mini (from D1=0.3mm) in the market. This tool is also particularly resistant to wear during the machining of CrNi steels due to its geometry and coating. All tools in the series are equipped with an individual QR code that leads to their respective digital twin with precise dimensions and recommends the tools for production processes optimized in the spirit of Industry 4.0.

Special tools and process optimization

At AMB, Hufschmied not only presents itself as a manufacturer of special tools for specific materials but also as a process optimizer. With individual consultation and series of tests in their own technology center, the machining experts find solutions to the specific challenges that companies face when processing, for example, particularly hard, brittle, or temperature-sensitive materials.

"To achieve the technical and economic optimum of a machining process, the tool and CAM programming must be tailored to the material, the shape of the workpiece, and the characteristics of the milling center. Challenge us: We are confident that we can beat your current machining times and top your tool life," says Christel Hufschmied, Managing Director of Hufschmied Zerspanungssysteme GmbH.
