At AMB, Arno Werkzeuge is showcasing new products along with a comprehensive approach to saving time. Visitors will learn how the tool manufacturer consistently identifies and uncompromisingly eliminates time-consuming factors for its customers. Drawing on the experience and pioneering spirit from three generations, the family-owned company possesses the necessary expertise. New holders and cutting inserts for axial plates expand the ATS grooving system, allowing the creation of ring grooves on flat surfaces.

What seconds are in racing are minutes in machining. In both fields, the fastest wins. That's why we intensively track down time-wasters around machining.

Christian Kimmich, Marketing Manager at Arno Werkzeuge

At AMB, the tool manufacturer presents five approaches to saving time, taking a comprehensive 360-degree view of the issue. The five options for increased efficiency include planning and tool selection, machine connectivity and setup, as well as cooling and maintenance, and also reacquisition and quality, not to mention the plate portfolio and tool life. "In times of skilled labor shortages, every minute saved relieves the staff," affirms Kimmich.

Certainly, factors such as the final hours, minutes, or meters of tool life dominate the thoughts of many users. Arno Werkzeuge wants to show interested guests at AMB that significant potential for time optimization and increased efficiency lies beyond these factors. This begins with planning and tool selection, where experts contribute their experience in an advisory capacity, making reliable statements about tools and cutting parameters. For machine connectivity and setup time, specialized products in manufacturing on Swiss-type lathes reduce handling, tool changes, back-end machining, and the integration of tool systems.

When Arno Werkzeuge assists with plate selection, the selection processes and reacquisition times are significantly shortened, and time-consuming "trial-and-error" processes disappear. It is clear that tool life also extends as a result. When the patented cooling system ACS is used, users observe peak performance in cooling and chip removal. This also increases efficiency and leads to time savings. Additionally, the Toolmanager and the online shop, CELLArno, lead to record-breaking fast ordering processes when reacquiring tools of consistent quality. With all these approaches, as well as clever new developments and enhancements, Arno Werkzeuge aims to continue securing decisive competitive advantages for its customers in the future.

New inserts and holders TA14 for axial grooving

New and on display for the first time are the TA14 holders and cutting inserts for axial grooving, expanding Arno Werkzeuge's successful ATS grooving system. The cutting plates, made from proven carbide, are available in grooving widths from 1.5 to 4 millimeters. The corresponding holders are available in left and right versions, each in straight and 90-degree angled versions. The manufacturer offers them in three shank sizes: 16 millimeters × 16 millimeters, 20 millimeters × 20 millimeters, and 25 millimeters × 25 millimeters, suitable for star or disc turrets. This allows users to achieve grooving depths of up to 5 millimeters in steel and 3 millimeters in stainless steel. Connections for cooling systems are possible. Cutting inserts are available for three diameter ranges, >16 millimeters, >20 millimeters, and >30 millimeters, allowing users to select the system that best suits their process from numerous variants. Semi-finished products can be provided with coatings suitable for the application. Moreover, Arno Werkzeuge also manufactures custom special plates according to customer requirements.
