Under the slogan "Iscar is about to change metalcutting ... again," Iscar is presenting its new Logiquick campaign at AMB. The tool specialists are introducing a range of innovative cutting tools for turning, parting and grooving, drilling, and milling.

With the increasing demand for rapid machining, there is also a growing need for advanced cutting tools. This drives new designs and shapes the logic of smart tool development. As part of its current Logiquick campaign, Iscar is introducing innovative cutting tools that meet the requirements of modern production.

Three edges for miniature machining

The Picco3Cut features three cutting edges for high-precision and efficient internal machining of miniature components on Swiss lathes. Its targeted cooling at all cutting edges minimizes wear, increases tool life, enhances surface quality, and facilitates chip removal. Thanks to its modular design, changing cutting edges is quick and easy. It is available in diameters from three to seven millimeters. At the Stuttgart event, Iscar will not only present the new Picco3Cut live for the first time but also enter it into the competition for the AMB Award with this innovative tool.

Combo line for drilling and milling

Another highlight at the Iscar booth is the Quick D Mill. This milling cutter combines two different cutting edge geometries on a single indexable insert. Its versatility makes it the Swiss Army knife of milling. The Quick D Mill allows the user to efficiently perform pocketing, plunging, slot milling, and drilling. The insert, with its two center cutting edges for drilling and two outer cutting edges for milling, is securely fastened in the dovetail clamping. This ensures a stable fit and process reliability. The positive chipbreaker geometry is specifically designed for machining ISO P and K materials.

Six edges for semi-finishing and finishing

The brand-new Logiq 6 Turn is a cost-effective, positive indexable insert with six 55-degree cutting edges for (pre-)finishing up to a cutting depth of three millimeters. Its special design allows for a smooth cut, reduces the cutting forces involved, ensures very good chip breaking, and thus provides excellent surface finishes. Logiq 6 Turn effectively reduces burrs on components made of steel, stainless steel, and titanium. It can be used on a variety of external and internal turning holders with different angles and targeted coolant supply.

New flat drill head for reaming

As part of the Logiquick campaign, Iscar has also developed a new flat drill head for its three-edged interchangeable head drill system, Logiq 3 Cham. Thanks to the new F3B flat drill head design, it is now possible to ream existing drill holes, even if they are eccentrically placed. The geometry of the main cutting edge with the ground chip deflector produces very small chip segments. The secondary cutting edge with a wiper ensures optimal hole geometry and very good surface quality. The drill head clamping system minimizes setup times and gives the user flexibility in machining.
