According to the Spanish magazine Motor.es, the Wolfsburg-based (Germany) automaker is thus moving away from the name it has used until now ID 1 and, as with the ID Polo, it revives the name of an earlier model series. The Up was the smallest model in the VW lineup from 2011 to 2023.
