FSG developed the device in collaboration with a construction machinery manufacturer, and it is designed for a long lifespan of 15 million cycles—three times that of conventional devices. To achieve this, FSG fundamentally redesigned the industrial joystick, starting with reducing the number of moving parts. The idea behind it: fewer movements mean less wear. Subsequently, the most suitable materials were selected, and FSG experts implemented many other wear-reducing details. The result is a compact and lightweight unit. The device meets the requirements for robustness and durability and offers excellent value for money, making it more affordable than comparable models. For possible movement directions, guides are available that allow movements in the X or Y axis direction, both X and Y axes simultaneously, or as a stirrer version, i.e., without limitations within stops. Another special feature of the new development is that users can replace the grip themselves—a feature offered by very few joysticks.
