We’ve all been there—we don’t Google anymore; we ask the AI. The “ChatGPT moment” on November 30, 2022, when OpenAI unveiled ChatGPT 3.5 to the public, changed all of our lives in an instant. 1 million users in 5 days, 100 million users in 2 months—that shows the momentum ChatGPT generated. Yet the first AI models had already become available earlier: DALL-E 2 in April, Midjourney in July, and Stable Diffusion in August 2022. They sparked a frenzy and a major debate that continues to this day.
