BMW has launched a pilot project with humanoid robots in series production at the Leipzig (Germany) plant. The humanoids change their batteries themselves.

BMW has launched a pilot project with humanoid robots at the Leipzig plant. The robots work in the assembly of high-voltage batteries and in the production of exterior components. The employees at the plant teach them the movements. "The nice thing is, once we've taught a robot, all of them can do it," the German Press Agency quotes Michael Ströbel, Head of Process Management and Digitalization in Production.
