ZF Friedrichshafen and XCMG Construction Machinery are establishing a joint venture for agricultural machinery. The new company, ZF (Xuzhou) Machinery Co., Ltd., will be based in China, in the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu Province.

According to ZF, the new company is set to manufacture power shift technologies for agricultural machinery—transmissions that can shift without interrupting the load flow. The components will be tailored to the Chinese market.

"The industry is evolving toward larger machines, higher-quality products, and increasing intelligence. Power shift technology for tractors is in a critical phase of dynamic advancement," commented Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of the XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery.
