Werock Technologies GmbH introduces the Rocksmart RSX1000, a fanless embedded box PC. When industrial PCs fail, it often impacts more than just individual workstations. Production lines, intralogistics systems, automated guided vehicles, test benches, or system controls can come to a standstill. The Rocksmart RSX1000 is designed for continuous operation in such environments. Its passive, fanless 24/7 design reduces dust-related failures and mechanical wear. The system's design for vibration- and dust-prone environments further supports its use in production halls, machinery setups, and vehicles. Voltage fluctuations in industrial power networks present another challenge. The embedded box PC is optionally available with a wide-range input of 9–60 V DC and a boot-on-power function, making it suitable for applications in machinery, mobile systems, commercial vehicles, material handling vehicles, and decentralized installations. Regarding interfaces, the system offers "Industrial I/O out of the box," including dual LAN, multiple USB interfaces, serial interfaces (RS232/422/485), and optionally CAN and Wi-Fi 6. Additional connections and expansions can be configured based on project requirements.

With smart condition monitoring based on vibration measurement, damage to centrifugal pumps, fans, and electric motors can be detected in its early stages. Machine failures can be avoided, and maintenance work can be planned efficiently. With the new features of Moneo Asset Health, introduced by IFM as part of the IIoT platform Moneo at the Hannover Messe, such condition monitoring is very easy to implement—no knowledge of vibration analysis is required. The system works seamlessly with IFM's IO-Link-based condition monitoring sensors VVB. Setting up Asset Health is extremely simple. With just a few clicks, monitoring of a target machine, such as a centrifugal pump, fan, or electric motor, is established. Like all functions in Moneo, Asset Health is designed as a no-code solution. Users can operate the system without programming knowledge. Compared to traditional condition monitoring solutions, not only is a rising trend or anomaly detected, but the corresponding cause of the fault is also identified. This happens automatically, without complicated threshold settings. This opens up many possibilities: as soon as a problem is detected, the software automatically creates maintenance tickets.

Omron Electronic Components Europe has launched an advanced security camera module pre-trained to recognize factory workers in cleanroom protective clothing. The new HVC-P2 module B5T-007003 enhances safety interlocks in the automation of semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and food processing facilities, as well as other environments operated by personnel wearing cleanroom suits that distort body geometry. Designers using this module can overcome the limitations of conventional pose estimation models and other sensor modalities, such as thermal or ultrasonic sensors, to ensure reliable detection. The B5T-007003 combines Omron's compact, robust camera and processing hardware with new firmware featuring innovative algorithms specifically developed for this purpose.

Parker Hannifin has expanded its Sensocontrol controllers with a new, updated family. The four variants SCLTSDI, SCLSDI, SCTSDI, and SCTSDI-Modular cover a wide range of pressure, level, temperature, and process monitoring tasks, from compact standalone control to modular, scalable system designs. All variants share a standardized platform with VDMA-based menu navigation, harmonized parameter structures, and IO-Link as standard.

SCLTSDI is a combined digital level and temperature switch with IO-Link, multiple probe lengths up to 1000 mm, and an analog option (0–20/4–20 mA) as well as the new 0–10 V output option for highly flexible tank monitoring. This makes it particularly suitable for industrial and mobile hydraulic tanks where level and temperature need to be precisely monitored in a single compact device. SCLSDI is a digital level switch with IO-Link, various installation lengths, and an optional analog/0–10 V output, offering a cost-effective and easy-to-integrate solution when temperature is measured separately.

SCTSDI is a digital temperature switch with an integrated probe available in various lengths, IO-Link, and fast, precise temperature monitoring for direct installation in the process. SCTSDI-Modular is a modular temperature switch for PT1000 sensors, offering a wide temperature range, a compact IP67 housing, and IO-Link connectivity for robust, decentralized temperature control.

New Color Camera for High-Precision RGB Print Mark Detection

The new Color Camera from B&R optimizes key production metrics and supports a first-time-right printing result. Thanks to immediate, camera-based process corrections at speeds of up to 500 m/min, it significantly reduces waste of cost-intensive materials. Seamlessly integrated into the machine control loop, the color camera provides real-time feedback, enhances overall equipment effectiveness, and supports more sustainable and resource-efficient printing processes.

The B&R Color Camera features an auto-exposure function that autonomously adjusts exposure time and contrast during operation. This allows the printing process to continue without manual readjustments, while the camera adapts to changing substrates and print designs, effectively reducing waste. Unlike autonomous vision sensors that communicate asynchronously with the machine control, B&R integrates image processing, drive technology, and control within a single deterministic platform in its portfolio. This tight integration enables real-time corrections in the microsecond range while preventing latency, jitter, and synchronization issues. The camera supports both monochrome and color image processing applications on a single hardware platform.
