The Chinese manufacturer Kede combines its own 5-axis machines, CNC controls, and a local 32-billion-parameter AI model on Loongson servers—on-premises AI for aviation and defense.
"Machine tools are the mother machines of the industry, and CNC controls are their 'brains'," writes the Chinese news agency "Xinhua." Kede CNC from the port city of Dalian manufactures both. Recently, the processes have also been supported by a large AI model. It runs directly next to the machine, not in the cloud.
