Many processes in sheet metal fabrication are becoming increasingly automated. At Euroblech 2026, the Schröder Group will therefore focus its exhibition presentation on fully automated swivel bending without robots. With a new gantry solution for the MAK 4 Evolution UD, Schröder automates loading, unloading, and workpiece positioning, thereby enabling unmanned production.

Automated Loading and Unloading of Cut Pieces

Swing-type bending machines equipped with a bidirectional bending beam and the Advanced Handling System (AHS)—a rotatable vacuum plate stop—can automatically process entire bending programs. The gantry solution presented here automates the loading of blank parts from pallets. The blank parts are measured optically, which, according to the manufacturer, eliminates the need for additional referencing. Unloading is also automatic, and the software allows users to choose between different palletizing options. Schröder thus offers the possibility of unmanned production. Programming is carried out via the machine control system; no robot is required, and manual operation remains possible at any time.

No Need to Turn Around

With the Powerbend Industrial UD 3200/6.0, Schröder offers a high-performance swivel bending machine for steel sheets up to 6 millimeters (0.236 inches) thick. These sheets do not need to be laboriously turned over for counter-bends, as the machine bends from both the bottom and the top. The upper beam stroke of 850 millimeters (33.5 inches) provides ample clearance for deep workpieces. With POS 3000 3D graphic control, a vacuum table stop, and the Radius Step Bending function, the Powerbend Industrial UD delivers strong performance for demanding industrial bending processes. To reduce non-productive time, bending programs for the machine can also be created on a PC during work preparation.

Solutions for Bending and Cutting

Schröder will also be exhibiting the Powerbend Professional motorized swivel-bending machine. It will be displayed with an up-and-down bending beam and a rotating upper beam, offering two tool stations, hydraulic tool clamping, and a pressing function for producing flanges in a single operation. Representing the sheet metal shears, the manufacturer will showcase its PDC Power-Duo-Cut NC 3200/3.0 at the trade show booth. It features the Classic Cut NC positioning stop, a pneumatically controlled forward sheet-holding device with a sheet chute, and motorized cutting gap adjustment for material-specific cuts. In continuous operation, it achieves 34 strokes per minute. Euroblech 2026, Hall 11, Booth A48
