Siemens and TD Synnex, a global technology distributor and solutions aggregator, have agreed on a joint framework for establishing a global sales partnership. TD Synnex operates in more than 100 countries. The company connects a broad ecosystem of technology providers and partners through technical expertise, enablement, services, and digital platforms.

The partnership aims to combine Siemens' technology and domain expertise with TD Synnex's extensive IT ecosystem. This is expected to create new opportunities for technology partners as Physical AI gains prominence and IT/OT convergence accelerates.

The TD Synnex ecosystem includes technology providers, solution providers, system integrators, hyperscalers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and managed service providers (MSPs). It thus provides a platform for connecting and pooling complementary technologies and expertise.

The collaboration is intended to expand access to solutions in the areas of industrial automation, software and AI, cybersecurity, smart infrastructure, and electrification.

“Given the tremendous pace of change driven by AI, it has never been more important to bring IT and OT closer together,” said Alastair Borissow, Head of Global Distribution Sales at Siemens. “By combining our established and high-performing global OT distribution network with TD Synnex’s complementary strengths in IT distribution, scalability, and ecosystem, we aim to create new opportunities for our entire distribution channel. Together, we have the opportunity to offer customers end-to-end solutions across the entire Siemens technology portfolio.”

“The convergence of IT and OT opens up significant opportunities for partners to connect enterprise technology with the systems that power industry, infrastructure, and buildings,” said Cheryl Day, Senior Vice President, New Vendor Acquisition & Global Solutions, TD Synnex. “By combining Siemens’ industrial technology expertise with TD Synnex’s global partner ecosystem, enablement capabilities, and value-added services, we can help partners tap into new markets, build new capabilities, and capitalize on new opportunities in areas such as industrial AI, automation, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.”

“This is about much more than just selling technology—it’s about connecting the worlds of industry and IT on an unprecedented scale by bringing together Siemens’ comprehensive industrial technology with TD Synnex’s extraordinary reach in the global IT ecosystem —from hyperscalers and technology providers to thousands of specialized partners,” said Dion Smith, Head of Global Partner Ecosystem at Siemens. “Our goal is to create new sales channels, engage new procurement committees at existing customers, and attract entirely new customers, while accelerating the convergence of IT and OT. Together, we have the opportunity to tap into a trillion-dollar market and make secure industrial digitalization more accessible, scalable, and impactful worldwide.”
