Nord Drivesystems: Efficient drives for conveyor and packaging technology

Nord Drivesystems' drive solutions promise high energy efficiency and low total cost of ownership (TCO). For example, in the packaging of food and beverages, cost savings of up to 50 percent can be realized with asynchronous motors in End of Line Packaging. Typically, centrally controlled servo motors are used in these applications. According to the company, regulated asynchronous motors offer an efficient and economical alternative. When used with decentralized frequency inverters like the Nordac ON, components such as switch cabinets are eliminated, and the efforts for cabling and setup are significantly reduced.

Reduce costs with efficient drive systems

Nord Drivesystems also offers solutions for additional processing stages of food and beverages: The IE5+ synchronous motor is designed to impress with its high energy efficiency. Since the permanent magnet synchronous motor achieves its constant torque over a wide speed range, the number of drive variants in a total system can be reduced. This, in turn, lowers administrative costs and thus the total cost of ownership (TCO).

The Duo Drive has been specially optimized for the requirements of the food industry. In this patented gear motor unit, an IE5+ motor is integrated into a helical gearbox. This not only achieves a high system efficiency. Fewer wear parts and reduced maintenance are also expected to provide additional positive cost effects.

Vogel Communications Group uses this feature for the purposes of re-targeting (up-selling, cross-selling, and customer loyalty), generating so-called look-alike audiences for acquisition of new customers, and as basis for exclusion for on-going advertising campaigns. In case I access protected data on Internet portals of Vogel Communications Group including any affiliated companies according to §§ 15 et seq.
