Leistritz Pumps: Screw spindle pumps for hygiene applications

Leistritz introduces the new "Hyper" screw spindle pump series for hygienically sensitive applications in food production. The goal was to create a plug-and-play solution that meets all the requirements of a hygiene pump and is particularly easy to clean. According to the company, the Hyper series is now the next-generation hygiene pump. Moreover, it offers capabilities that have not been available before.

A distinctive feature is the Hygienic Body Design developed by Leistritz: The rounded structure enables particularly easy, residue-free cleaning; there are no disturbances, edges, corners, or welds. Since screw spindle pumps have no dead spaces, the manufacturer ensures optimized CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Steam-in-Place) operations up to 191 m³/h. The need for a second pump for cleaning is eliminated. The Hyper series is certified according to EHEDG and the 3-A Sanitary Standard.

The Hyper series accommodates a wide range of viscosities (up to 1,000,000 cSt), delivery volumes (up to 191 m³/h), and pressures (up to 25 bar). With the Hyper³, a three-spindle pump solution, Leistritz introduces another innovation. This patented pump delivers an efficiency of up to 96 percent. It enables better conveying with a volumetric conversion up to 100 percent. The pump operates very gently in the micro-shear area. Thanks to the hydrodynamic sliding principle and very tight tolerances, the Hyper³ is designed to work particularly precisely in dosing even the smallest quantities. The oil-free operation of the pump ensures the highest level of cleanliness for both the product and the equipment.

Vogel Communications Group uses this feature for the purposes of re-targeting (up-selling, cross-selling, and customer loyalty), generating so-called look-alike audiences for acquisition of new customers, and as basis for exclusion for on-going advertising campaigns.
