Weiss Spindle Technology: 2SP2 series gains new additions

As a division of Innomotics GmbH, Weiss Spindle Technology will showcase at AMB various products including motor spindles for mid-range milling machines, high-end B-axis spindles for complex mill-turn machines, and spindle services.

For the mid-range market, Innomotics' subsidiary showcases the 2SP2 series, an asynchronous milling spindle series distinguished mainly by an excellent cost-benefit ratio. The spindle is modularly designed and achieves a nominal torque of 45 to 177 Nm with an HSK-A63 interface. Specifically for high-speed applications, there is a 45-Nm variant capable of speeds up to 24,000 rpm. As a preview, Weiss also presents two powerful HSK-A100 spindles from the 2SP2 series, which will soon be available for order. These are characterized by high nominal torques of 230 or 340 Nm.

As a digital 3D hologram, the high-end product, the B-axis spindle series, becomes a virtual eye-catcher. The compact swivel unit with a modularly adaptable front spindle is suitable for combined turning-milling applications.

Using a sectional model of a spindle, Weiss experts will also demonstrate what is important for good service. The company repairs all makes.
