As part of the restructuring program of the automotive division, thyssenkrupp plans to close the chassis business in Terre Haute in the US state of Indiana by 31 March 2027. Thyssenkrupp currently employs around 230 people there, according to the statement. According to the company, the chassis business is to be relocated to the Hamilton production site. As already mentioned, Thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology is currently undergoing restructuring. The aim is to focus the global positioning of the segment more strongly on profitable growth, higher operational efficiency and clearer structures. Thyssenkrupp also wants to make the division ready for the capital market over the next few years, as we will learn. The Group had already launched a cost-cutting program last year due to the difficult market conditions in the automotive industry, which also led to job losses.
