Robot pick system spares the employees

The fully automated removal of bars from storage cassettes also relieves employees. After all, they no longer have to manually or crane out and transport heavy and unwieldy material. This reduces the physical strain on employees and helps prevent potential injuries and accidents. Thanks to the intuitive user interface of Kastopick bar, specialists can easily and efficiently use the system - without extensive training or specific technical knowledge. They work very efficiently and productively with the user-friendly singling system after a short briefing, as Kasto promises. Steel processors and traders also benefit from unmanned picking due to optimized material flows. This allows them to use resources such as manpower efficiently, reduce operating costs and speed up production processes. The new Kasto system is also particularly suitable for high-mix-low-volume tasks, as it recognizes different materials and always chooses the appropriate gripping strategy. The extremely precise control ensures safe movements with utmost repeatability.

Kastopick bar therefore complements the portfolio of Kastopick singling options very well, it says. With Kastopick sheet, users commission different sheet formats, Kastopick select (previously known as Kasto ksg) supports handling as a manual picking crane. Kastopick split uses the excavation for the singling out of long goods and is suitable for bars with larger diameters that lie neatly next to and on top of each other. However, this system reaches its limits with an unsorted arrangement, because the bars dive down over the length and can only be handled by a targeted access. This gap has now been closed with Kastopick bar, which also impresses with its small space requirement, as the manufacturer notes.
