In collaboration with key industry associations, Taiwan's International Trade Administration (ITA) was highlighting the nation's advancements in smart manufacturing at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2024 in Chicago.

The initiative, known as the "Taiwan Smart Manufacturing Overseas Promotion Plan," features 60 Taiwanese companies, including leading names in machinery, digital transformation, and green technology. This effort, coordinated by ITA and the Precision Machinery Research and Development Center (PMC), with support from the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) and the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA), underscores Taiwan's strength in offering comprehensive, one-stop industrial solutions.

Focus on U.S. Market Expansion and Innovation

At the Taiwan Pavilion, attendees were introduced to advanced machine tools, AI-powered systems, and green manufacturing technologies, all tailored to meet U.S. market needs. With the U.S. focusing on reshoring and infrastructure development, Taiwan’s machinery sector presented itself as a vital partner in providing high-performance tools and smart automation solutions. Taiwanese exhibitors aim to capitalize on rising U.S. demand by showcasing both digital and green transformations.

Deepening Taiwan-U.S. Cooperation

Taiwan’s machinery industry continues to evolve with innovations in AI and smart manufacturing. A series of marketing events, including presentations from major companies such as DAHLIH and QUASER, as well as insights from academic experts, highlighted Taiwan's commitment to a sustainable and technologically advanced industrial ecosystem. According to ITA officials the exhibit underscored Taiwan’s goal of bolstering its presence in the U.S. market while fostering stronger bilateral ties, paving the way for future collaborations in smart and green manufacturing solutions.
