Renault has developed the new electric Twingo in an unusually short time. To ensure that speed does not come at the expense of quality, the Group monitors plants and vehicles in real time.
Thierry Charvet's workplace does not look like the office of a top manager. Renault's Board Member for Industry, Quality and Supply Chain doesn't need a prestigious desk, designer furniture or family photos in silver frames. A large conference table and screens several meters wide on the walls are enough. The main screen shows a world map with 20 Renault plants, with five small dots under each location. Green, yellow or red. That's all it takes to see if there's a problem somewhere.
