Kuka KMP 250P: Safe, Flexible, Compatible

Kuka is expanding its AMR portfolio with the new KMP 250P mobile platform, which transports goods and components weighing up to 550 lb and can be optionally equipped with a lifting unit. It meets the highest safety standards. Cleanroom and ESD versions allow it to be used for special applications. The new "sleep mode" module makes automation even easier, even with large fleets.

The Kuka AMR portfolio includes platforms with a payload of up to 6,600 lb. Accessories and chargers for the KMP 250P are compatible with the KMP 600P and KMP 1500P platforms, and the different platforms can be easily integrated into a fleet.

Easy to Use: Compatible And Intuitive

The KMP 250P is compatible within an AMR fleet and can be controlled intuitively thanks to the KUKA.AMR Fleet manager and the standard VDA 5050 communication interface. With the help of an extended "sleep mode", even large fleets can be put into standby in a user-friendly manner. Thanks to its differential drive, the mobile platform is also highly flexible in terms of space. In addition to a conductive charging station, an inductive version is also available as an option—so the KMP 250P remains in operation without interruption.

360-Degree Protection for Man and Machine

Two diagonally mounted laser scanners in combination with 3D cameras provide 360-degree protection. If an obstacle is identified in the path of travel, it can be automatically and safely avoided if there is sufficient space, otherwise the KMP 250P stops fully automatically.

In the near future, the platform will also be available as an underride tractor ("Tugger"), which can be used to transport loads of up to 1,100 lb. In this version, known as the KMP 250P-T, the AMR docks onto transport trolleys from below, which are then towed.
