With Post-Curing Adhesive Films And Training Courses

And the post-curing adhesive films mentioned above stand for predefined layer thicknesses and highly reproducible mechanical properties. Robot-guided laydown heads developed in Stade take over the cutting and removal of the liner, provide the necessary application pressure and, if necessary, thermal activation of the adhesive. If the gap dimensions vary, adhesive films can be applied in several layers or in a patch process. In this case, the previously determined gap geometry determines the number and position of the sections. In this way, even curved fiber composite structures could be joined over a large area in a material-saving and high-quality manner. To complete the spectrum: In addition to the internationally recognized advanced training courses in adhesive bonding technology, which have been established for over 30 years, the Fraunhofer IFAM also offers advanced training in the field of fiber-reinforced plastics, covering the design, processing and repair of composites. The training programs ensure qualification for technology transfer and are tailored to all levels of the company. Incidentally, the courses on offer already meet the requirements of the new DIN 35255 standard, which will be published in November 2025.
