The aircraft features a new wing design, based on extensive research and detailed AI-supported modeling. The rhombus shape leads to less turbulence and a more efficient flight performance. The stiffening of the fuselage structures is also optimized by an algorithm developed by Akkodis, significantly reducing the fuselage weight. Since 2022, another disruptive technology has been used in concept development: By integrating all available data into a virtual model, a digital twin is created. This allows, for example, the thermal load to be tested digitally and with much less effort.

Alternative propulsion

The concept study is powered by hydrogen-operated fuel cells. The electricity generated here flows loss-free via superconductors to the two electric motors, achieving optimal energy usage according to the manufacturer. The low temperatures required for superconductivity are generated by the cold transported hydrogen, further increasing energy efficiency.

Identify and remove space debris

In addition to Green&Fly, Akkodis is showcasing AI-Core at ILA. This is an AI-supported image recognition system that can identify space debris and in the future can be automatically removed by "cleanup satellites". Space projects of all kinds can thus be optimally prepared and carried out with significantly lower collision risk.
