ABB Robotics aims to mobilize skilled workers for electric vehicle manufacturing.

ABB Robotics has responded to this challenge and is investing in collaborations with hundreds of schools and universities around the globe as part of training programs. Therein, young people, future e-mobility talents, and students are taught automation and software knowledge, which forms the basis for the "smart" manufacturing capabilities of the future. The company's training robot, the IRB 1090, certified by "STEM.org", was specifically developed to familiarize learners with the basics of robot programming.

Supply chain disruptions are unfortunately still an issue.

The survey also shows that disruptions in supply chains, which have often led to component shortages and production delays due to global uncertainties, continue to be a major problem for the automotive industry. More than a third (35 percent) of all respondents pointed this out. A significant increase was noted among respondents from North America (51 percent), where it was identified as the biggest challenge for manufacturing in the region.

(Nearly 400 industry experts from around the world participated in the ABB survey - including managers from vehicle manufacturers and suppliers at all management levels and from development, as well as experts from the entire automotive world.)
