BMW unveils its vision for the future driving experience at the CES electronics fair in Las Vegas with the "i Vision Dee" concept. The exterior, shaped like a midsize sedan, is particularly notable for its color-changing function. Using E-Ink technology, a total of 32 tones can be displayed, providing nearly infinite design possibilities through their combinations.

While the color-changing technology presented last year in a monochrome version may have limited prospects for mass production, elements from the interior are likely to appear in the brand's models in the near future. This includes the upgraded head-up display, featured in the concept, which replaces all conventional screens and is set to go into production from 2025.
The dashboard is completely bare, with all driving information, including augmented reality content, reflected onto the entire width of the windshield. Additionally, all physical switches, buttons, and controls are eliminated from the interior, and even door handles are absent.

"New Class" from 2025

The concept vehicle showcased in Las Vegas 2023 is one of three studies that BMW is using to promote its anticipated "New Class" of electric cars expected from 2025. In addition to the discussed theme of digitization, sustainability and electric propulsion will also play a role in these vision cars.
