Driver Monitoring "The Carrot and the Stick": When the Cockpit Provokes and the System Warns

The U.S. Department of Transportation reported similar figures for 2023 in the United States. The numbers are well known. Nevertheless, the systems intended to counteract this issue are still far from what experts consider ideal. At the Safety Week 2026 in Hanau, three presentations highlighted the current state of development—and how far there is still to go.
