Rimac Technology is presenting a battery platform with solid-state cells at the IAA 2025 in Munich. The company developed the system in collaboration with the Chinese Pro-Logium Group and the Mitsubishi Chemical Group. According to the supplier, the batteries are lighter than conventional liquid-electrolyte storage systems, offer higher energy density, and are safer. The technology is reportedly production-ready, but when and in which vehicle it will hit the road remains undisclosed.
