Battery Technology Lyten Plans to Acquire Bankrupt Morrow Batteries

The U.S. battery manufacturer Lyten intends to acquire the insolvent Norwegian cell manufacturer Morrow Batteries and, at the same time, plans to take over the former Northvolt site in Heide.
In May 2026, the Norwegian battery cell manufacturer Morrow Batteries, along with its sister companies Morrow Technologies and Morrow Industrialization Center, were forced to file for bankruptcy. Now, their bankruptcy trustees have signed a letter of intent with the U.S. company Lyten regarding the sale of Morrow.
