Hala Point: Intel builds the largest neuromorphic network to date
For Hala Point, 1,152 Loihi-2 processors, manufactured on the Intel-4 process node, were packed into a data center housing the size of a microwave oven with six racks. The system supports up to 1.15 billion neurons and 128 billion synapses, distributed across 140,544 neuromorphic computing cores, consuming a maximum of 2,600 watts of power. Additionally, over 2,300 embedded x86 processors are available for additional computations. (Image: Intel Corporation) 2/5 Back to the Article
