In China, artificial intelligence is set to accelerate the development of nuclear fusion: Several start-ups are using AI models in experimental reactors or positioning themselves as model suppliers for research teams. Shovel vendors are also already successful.
No one can yet predict with certainty whether and when this "Holy Grail" of energy supply, the "artificial sun" on earth, will be available. However, there have been technological breakthroughs in China since last year that are now making venture capitalists increasingly believe in the potential commercialization of the technology:
