Beijing further reduces support for e-mobility. Starting in 2027, hybrids, range extenders, and electric trucks will lose their benefits for annual vehicle taxes.
The Chinese government has once again eliminated tax benefits for certain vehicles with alternative drives, gradually reducing support for e-mobility. The previous halving of the annual vehicle tax for certain particularly fuel-efficient combustion engines will no longer apply, and tax exemptions for certain vehicles with alternative drives will be removed.
