Auto Show Auto China 2026: China Shows the Way

Chinese car manufacturers are pushing into the market with new technology and making life difficult for established competitors, as the motor show in Beijing shows. But German manufacturers have accepted the challenge.

It was the largest car show in the world: Auto China came to an end in Beijing on May 3. According to the organizers, car manufacturers exhibited 1,451 vehicles on 380,000 square meters, including 181 world premieres. The trade fair once again demonstrated the speed at which the Chinese automotive industry is developing. And as the largest industry gathering, it made it clear how the global balance of power has shifted: China is setting the pace.
