Dassault Systèmes has founded the European Sovereign Tech Industry Alliance (ESTIA) together with eleven European companies. According to a statement, the new alliance aims to strengthen Europe's digital sovereignty and expand independent, trustworthy cloud and digital technologies.

ESTIA focuses on a Europe-wide coordinated approach in order to increase the EU's competitiveness and reduce technological dependencies. The founding members include Airbus, Deutsche Telekom, OVH Cloud, Orange, Schwarz Digits and Telecom Italia. The focus is particularly on cloud infrastructures, digital services and secure data rooms for critical industries and the public sector.

As a long-standing technology driver, Dassault Systèmes is positioning itself as a provider of sovereign cloud services with its Outscale brand. The platform already has the highest European security certification. The alliance now wants to work with EU decision-makers to create clear legal definitions for "sovereign cloud" and focus public procurement more strongly on European solutions.

The official launch of ESTIA is scheduled for 2026 and is intended to pave the way for a resilient, innovative digital Europe.
