ABB has announced the launch of the AMXE marine engine, a next-generation electric propulsion solution for challenging conditions at sea. The engine is specifically designed for small to medium-sized electric and hybrid ships, as well as for open deck applications. With the highest power density in ABB's motor portfolio, the AMXE marine motor delivers more power with less weight and space requirements—a significant advantage for ships where every kilogram and cubic meter counts. Thomson, a brand of Regal Rexnord Corporation and a leading manufacturer of mechanical motion solutions, introduces a new version of its electrohydraulic H-Track actuator. It has been further enhanced to make it even more resilient in harsh and moisture-intensive environments. The actuator features components made of 316 stainless steel for improved corrosion resistance and a hermetically sealed motor housing that allows for underwater operation, expanding the H-Track's application range to equipment in the marine, agricultural, industrial, and mobile machinery sectors. A redesigned structure and an optimized online selection tool improve both the product's availability and its integration possibilities.

The robust, self-contained hydraulic system of the Thomson H-Track has always delivered the power of hydraulics without relying on hoses, external pumps, or regular maintenance. With the latest improvements, the actuator becomes even more reliable in applications where conventional models might lose performance over time. Thomson has optimized the configuration of stroke length and load capacity, making the H-Track even easier to specify and faster to deliver.

Direct Fastening With Ultra-Hard Tip

Ejot expands the application range of self-tapping screws. This range has been limited by the maximum strength of the screw tip, which must not plastically deform during thread forming. With the newly developed Maxxtip concept, what previously seemed impossible can now be achieved—a process-reliable direct screw connection even in ultra-high-strength materials. This is made possible by combining a case-bainitized load-bearing thread with an ultra-hard screw tip. The main application areas are ultra-high-strength steel sheets.

Parker Hannifin is once again collaborating with the CE Dealer Team of Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) to push the boundaries of sustainable performance in one of the toughest motorsport arenas. In the "Battle of the Technologies" format, fully electric rallycross cars compete against vehicles powered by sustainable combustion engines. For each race, a track is created, and this is where the two companies come into play: Volvo CE machines shape the terrain, and Parker's drive and control solutions are integrated into these machines. From constructing dirt jumps to fine-tuning sharp turns, every venue must be race-ready and performance-oriented. Among the latest Volvo machines equipped with Parker technology is the L90H wheel loader.
