At the Hannover Fair, Siemens presented, among other things, its first product that uses generative artificial intelligence for engineering in the industry. The Siemens Industrial Copilot is seamlessly connected to the TIA portal, allowing automation professionals to find answers more quickly, generate visualizations, and develop code for programmable logic controllers. This development was carried out in collaboration with Microsoft, as announced at the previous fair. Microsoft's language models extend the Siemens Industrial Copilot, for example, to facilitate the creation and optimization of software code for factory automation. According to Siemens, the new version of the Industrial Cobot is now the first generative AI-supported product for engineering on a large scale.
