The production start for the new Daimler truck plant in the USA is planned for 2029. Construction of the plant is expected to begin by the end of this year, as the company from Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart (Germany) announced. Possible locations are still being examined, it was reported. However, the plant is expected to create thousands of jobs. The commercial vehicle manufacturer has not yet provided specific investment amounts or details on production capacity.

Truck Orders Are Picking Up Again

We recall: Just over two weeks ago, the company raised its annual forecast for the important and lucrative division due to improving current business and the recognition of U.S. value-added shares. Back in 2025, the tariff antics of U.S. President Donald Trump heavily burdened the industry, as freight forwarders were hesitant to order trucks due to uncertainty. However, the market is now recovering, which is why orders are picking up again. Specific figures are expected soon.
