The ramp-up of electromobility is picking up speed. At the same time, the requirements for financing, site development and the scalable operation of public charging infrastructure are increasing. By joining forces, the two companies aim to achieve closer integration in project development and operation. The aim is to implement charging park projects faster and more quickly. "The expansion of charging infrastructure is entering a new phase: speed, scaling and economically viable locations are becoming crucial. With Evoltra, we are bringing additional project development expertise into the Group and significantly expanding our pipeline for new charging parks," says Harald Praml, founder and CEO of Citywatt, underlining the merger.

Development of Fast-Charging Locations at POIs

Evoltra's activities focus on the development of fast-charging locations at highly frequented points of interest, such as supermarkets and other places of daily use, as well as along major transport routes. The company pursues a holistic energy approach and combines charging infrastructure with photovoltaics and battery storage systems. The company has succeeded in building up a pipeline of locations by concluding framework agreements with food retail chains. Citywatt intends to benefit from this in the future. Evoltra, in turn, has a partner for the expansion of the planned charging parks and their operation on a scalable infrastructure.

For existing business and location partners, the operational cooperation remains unchanged. The Evoltra team will remain fully on board and existing contacts will continue to be available. As part of the organizational integration, Evoltra has been renamed Citywatt Development and will act as a central platform for the development of new charging infrastructure projects within the company group.
