In the golden autumn of September, Hannover became the focus of the global manufacturing industry due to the EMO exhibition. The "EMO China Day" event held on the first day of the exhibition, which became an important window for dialogue between Chinese manufacturing and the world.
The event commenced with speeches by Li Guangyi, Assistant General Manager of Beijing JVMA Media Advertisement Co., Ltd., and Gerd Kielburger, Head of International Business Strategy at Vogel Communications Group. Li Guangyi stated that this cooperation integrates the unique advantages of both the Chinese and German sides, building a support platform for Chinese enterprises going global that combines "global perspective" with "local foundation." In his keynote speech, Gerd Kielburger shared insights on the current state of European manufacturing, analysis of end-user procurement demands, and Vogel Group's overseas marketing service experience. These insights provided valuable reference for Chinese enterprises entering the European market.
Currently, Chinese manufacturing is transitioning from "scale expansion" to "value enhancement." Going global is no longer simply about "product export," but rather a comprehensive expansion of "technology, service, and brand." This shift was fully demonstrated at the EMO exhibition.
In-Depth Insights: Alignment Points Between the European Market and Chinese Enterprises
Gao Jing who is from Commercial Director of Shanghai Top Numerical Control Technology Co., Ltd., shared TopNC's success story from a practical enterprise perspective. Starting from high-end equipment for aerospace, TopNC has successfully expanded into general manufacturing, with products covering various industries including medical, new energy vehicles, semiconductors, and robotics. Its self-developed core components such as CNC systems and electric spindles, as well as five-axis machine tool series like Kunpeng and Phantom, possess leading advantages in precision, efficiency, and composite material processing. Regarding internationalization, TopNC has established an R&D center in Hamburg, Germany, committed to building a global sales and service network. The company is actively seeking partnerships with overseas channel partners to promote global resource sharing and win-win development for high-end CNC equipment.
A panel discussion brought EMO China Day to a climax. Moderated by Benedikt Hofmann, Editor-in-Chief of MaschinenMarkt, the panel included Gao Wenming, European Business Director of Shandong Weida; Acer Chou,President of Jingdiao Europe; Chen Hao, Technical Director of TopNC; and Su Guojiang, General Manager of Achteck Tool. The enterprises unanimously expressed that the European market, especially Germany, is a key target in their globalization strategy. By continuously improving product quality, strengthening technological innovation, establishing localized service networks, and actively seeking regional partners, they are committed to breaking down cultural barriers and building long-term trust relationships.
Gao Wenming particularly emphasized: "Trust is not inherent but earned through solid partnerships." Weida has adopted a deeply integrated model in markets like Italy and Portugal, establishing service centers, building local teams, and inviting European engineers to train at its Chinese headquarters. This model elevates customer relationships from a "two-company" level to a "family-like" synergy. Weida is now applying this successful experience to the German market, known for its high-quality standards, demonstrating its determination to deeply cultivate the European market.
EMO 2025 also served as the venue for the EMO China Day. Among other things, Chinese entrepreneurs discussed with Benedikt Hofmann (right), the editor-in-chief of MM Maschinenmarkt, about new paths that the Chinese machinery industry is currently aiming to pursue...

Filip Geerts, General Manager of the European Committee for Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO), emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the industry's development during the event. He pointed out that Europe and China, as major manufacturing powers, face both opportunities and responsibilities. CECIMO has an obligation to foster a high-quality and sustainable market environment that promotes technological innovation and support. By building mutual trust and dialogue, the resilience of the industry is enhanced, contributing to the prosperity of the global machine tool market.
Pioneer of Industry Award: Saluting Benchmark Chinese Enterprises Going Global
