BYD unveiled its new flagship heavy-duty truck at the IAA Transportation in Hanover. The all-electric “ETT 44” competes in the 44-metric-ton class and is the first truck from the Chinese manufacturer to feature the new megawatt flash-charging technology. According to BYD, the 651-kWh Blade battery installed in the truck can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes at a 1.5-megawatt charging station. This corresponds to a range of about 400 kilometers (249 miles).
