Carbide Recovery Increases Competitiveness

Filtration reaches its full potential only when combined with consistent material recovery. For grinding carbide tools, Vomat uses a specially developed sedimentator. This separates the filtered grinding sludge almost completely from the oil. Thus, grinding sludge becomes a valuable raw material that can be directly marketed, as the company explains. Especially in light of the current price developments for carbide, investing in modern filtration and recovery technology offers a clear competitive advantage. Thanks to the system's design, it achieves a residual oil content in the sedimented carbide sludge of less than six percent. According to Vomat, these are ideal conditions for resale to recycling companies. At the same time, the filtration system remains operational throughout the entire separation process, ensuring no production interruptions. The separated sludge is also directly transferred to recycling containers without any contaminating by-products. And because the high-performance filters operate without auxiliary materials such as cellulose or paper bands, the carbide remains free from foreign substances. This enables pure recycling and maximum revenues, as Vomat promises.
