Okuma in Hall 14, Booth D28

One of the notable innovations is the horizontal machining center MS-320H. It enables the automation of various tasks, allowing for long runtimes without manual intervention. Additionally, the vertical table arrangement and a continuous chip conveyor ensure consistently high productivity. Another advantage: the machine requires little space and is suitable for both small and large batch sizes.

Okuma customers are already familiar with the horizontal turret lathe LB4000 EX III, but at EMO 2025 they now have the first opportunity to experience its full configuration flexibility. During the trade fair, it is showcased with driven tools (M), an additional Y-axis, and the optionally available counter spindle (W). The latter enables automatic workpiece transfer and comprehensive machining within a single machine.

Among the 13 machines Okuma is presenting at EMO are several enhanced classics, each showcasing their individual advantages in any production environment. This includes the Multus U3000 turning/milling center, which performs even complex machining tasks with the highest precision. This is achieved, among other things, through flexible 5-axis machining on both the main and counter spindle, a large work area, and an extensive tool magazine for up to 120 tools. A second turret further reduces cycle times, thereby increasing productivity. Various processes are demonstrated live on the machine at the trade fair, including friction stir welding. This technology enables seamless connections of components and enhances flexibility and productivity by eliminating external processes.

For fast and highly precise manufacturing processes, Okuma brings several machining centers with 5-axis simultaneous machining to EMO. They perform vertical, horizontal, and angled surface machining in a single operation without manual intervention, thereby maximizing productivity, process reliability, and workpiece quality. This is demonstrated at EMO with the MU-6300V machining center. The 5-axis multitasking machining enables process-intensive high-speed and high-precision cutting. With a generously sized work area, the machine provides flexibility in processing various workpieces. To further enhance productivity and efficiency, the machine is additionally equipped with a 7-station pallet changer. The 5-axis machining center Genos M560V-5AX, on the other hand, produces high-precision parts from various materials using 60 tools, 15,000 revolutions per minute, 22 kilowatts, and 199 Newton meters of spindle power.
