AInnovation Technology Group Co., Ltd. and KUKA Robotics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will focus on integrating cutting-edge large-scale AI models with industrial robotics, working together to accelerate the implementation of intelligent industrial robots in manufacturing scenarios and contribute to the rise of new industrialization.
The signing ceremony was held at the Chengdu Robotics Innovation Center. Leaders from the Management Committee of the Chenghua District Robotics Industrial Park in Chengdu, AInnovation’s CTO Zhang Faan, Senior Vice President He Tao, KUKA China’s General Manager of Corporate Business Chen Feng, and other representatives from both parties attended the event.
This partnership leverages KUKA’s leading expertise in industrial robotics and intelligent automation solutions, alongside AInnovation’s deep industry experience in empowering industrial manufacturing with AI and its advanced industrial large-model technology. Centered around AInnovation’s AInnoGC industrial large model, the two parties will conduct joint innovation to co-develop a new generation of intelligent industrial robotic systems driven by large models, as well as specialized robotic arms for specific industries. They will also collaborate on project implementation, market expansion, channel integration, brand activities, and other areas.
AInnovation is a leading provider of AI-powered manufacturing products and solutions in China. Its proprietary AInnoGC industrial large-model technology platform supports applications in both industrial robotics and industrial software, helping manufacturing customers build intelligent applications that integrate hardware and software.
In the field of embodied intelligence for industry, AInnovation integrates large-model technology with industrial robots to develop its ChatRobot industrial embodied intelligence technology stack. This system features three core in-house systems: the Robot Data System, Robot Intelligence System, and Robot Control System. By overcoming the limitations of traditional PLC programming and enabling robots to learn complex tasks through demonstration, it provides manufacturing with smarter and more autonomous automation solutions.
Xu Hui, Executive Director and CEO of AInnovation, stated: “This strategic partnership with KUKA Robotics marks an important step in AInnovation’s industrial robotics strategy. The synergy of informatization, automation, and intelligence is the key to achieving new industrialization. KUKA’s expertise in industrial robotics and automation, combined with AInnovation’s industry experience in AI-powered manufacturing and large-model technology, is the best interpretation of the integration of ‘informatization + automation + intelligence,’ as well as a concrete implementation of the national ‘AI+’ strategy.”
KUKA Robotics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of German KUKA Group, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial robots. It offers standard 6-axis industrial robots with payloads ranging from 3 kg to 1,000 kg, as well as specialized robots for specific applications. The robots have working radii ranging from 635 mm to 3,900 mm. KUKA robots are widely used in industries such as instrumentation, automotive, aerospace, consumer products, logistics, food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, foundry, plastics, and more.
Chen Feng, General Manager of Corporate Business at KUKA China, commented: “This strategic cooperation with AInnovation marks a key step in KUKA’s intelligent robotics strategy. We look forward to working together to deeply integrate AI technology with industrial robotics, bringing revolutionary changes to manufacturing. Leveraging KUKA’s rich expertise in robotics technology, we will jointly develop more intelligent, agile, and efficient industrial robots to meet the market’s urgent demand for smart robotic solutions.”
It is worth noting that the signing ceremony was held at the Chengdu Robotics Innovation Center, which was jointly established by AInnovation and the Chenghua District Government. The center is dedicated to promoting the deep integration of AI, robotics, and industrial manufacturing, supporting the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector in western China, and fostering professional talent. In the future, AInnovation and KUKA Robotics will take technology as the bond, with the Chengdu Robotics Innovation Center as the starting point of cooperation, to jointly promote the development of the intelligent industrial robotics industry through resource sharing and ecosystem building.
