Lineage, headquartered in the U.S. state of Michigan, is one of the world’s largest providers of temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics services. Far from its headquarters, in Hutchins, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, one of the world’s largest and most modern temperature-controlled distribution centers is set to go live at the end of 2027. This will strengthen Lineage’s cold chain network in North America. The new DC is said to help enable the efficient distribution of refrigerated and frozen products throughout the United States.

Reliable Operation Down to −22 Degrees Fahrenheit

From a technical standpoint, Lineage relies on the expertise of TGW Logistics, an Austrian company with a global presence and a long-standing partnership with Lineage. The Austrian company has developed its mechatronic components for demanding environments such as refrigerated and frozen warehouses: Core technologies such as shuttle systems, conveyor technology, and palletizing solutions operate reliably and at peak performance even at temperatures as low as −22 °F, according to the company. The components demonstrate their capabilities daily in logistics centers around the world—serving food retailers, online grocery retailers, food service specialists, and food manufacturers.

Lineage and TGW Logistics have been united by close collaboration and shared values for many years. Together, we continue to grow.

According to TGW Logistics, the company is supplying a comprehensive automation solution for the Texas project, which includes a shuttle warehouse, energy-efficient conveyor systems for pallets and cartons, and automated palletizing and depalletizing stations. The system is designed for high throughput and reliable order processing and enables the fast and efficient handling of refrigerated and frozen goods.
