With the MSE Easy, Microstep Europa GmbH is now expanding its product portfolio in the field of surface treatment. The compact system offers a wide range of options for grinding, edge rounding, and finishing – targeting companies with single-shift production operations in particular. The MSE Easy complements laser cutting systems and impresses with its space-saving design and ease of operation.

The new series thus complements the already established MSE Oxy series, which was specifically designed for the further processing of structural steel and for use in combination with plasma cutting systems.

Versatile Surface Treatment in a Small Space

Equipped with high-quality branded components, the MSE Easy is process-safe and reliable. A wide belt and two counter-rotating brushes are designed to enable intuitive, fast, and high-quality processing of various materials in a compact space. This means more productivity instead of manual and time-consuming rework.

According to Microstep, the MSE Easy fits into nearly any workshop and is the ideal solution for companies looking to efficiently post-process components in small batch sizes after laser cutting. Depending on the task, tailored tools are available:

Grinding: During the laser cutting process, material residues, known as burrs, often form on the cut edges of the workpiece. Burr formation can vary depending on the material and thickness. For optimal further processing of the component, the burr must be removed. The same applies to laser spatter. With machine processing using the integrated wide-belt grinding unit, this is no problem.
Edge rounding: The MSE Easy performs edge rounding of the component using two counter-rotating grinding discs. Oscillation ensures the full working width is utilized. This processing step creates the basis for further processing (galvanizing, wet painting, etc.). Additionally, the risk of injury from sharp edges is minimized.
Surface finish: For visible components and other comparable requirements, a high-quality and uniform grinding pattern can be achieved by simply adjusting process parameters and tools.
