Systematically Simplified Handling Systems

IEF-Werner will be exhibiting components and systems for handling processes in Hall A5, Stand 204. These include the gantry system with toothed belt axis module 115/25, which can be used to safely handle trays or small load carriers weighing up to 40 kilograms. Thanks to the bending and torsion-resistant base bodies of the modules, the automation specialist implements large spans with maximum strokes of 6.5 meters for its customers. Even with high loads and long strokes, no additional support structures are required.

The flexibly designed Aipress servo press series is a tried-and-tested solution that numerous companies have been using successfully for years. It is available in four sizes and can be integrated into both automated production lines and manual workstations. This allows workpieces to be joined or pressed with a high precision of just a few micrometers. Continuous quality control is integrated into the Aipress by means of force-displacement monitoring. Assemblies can therefore not only be divided into good and bad parts, but also into different quality levels. The series has several standardized software and I/O interfaces for connection to the system environment. The press can be further adapted using various special functions.

At automatica, IEF-Werner will be presenting the Minispin series for the automatic handling of very small components, for example in the watch industry, medical and pharmaceutical sector, microsystems or precision engineering. The compact and highly dynamic handling is suitable for components with a weight of up to 100 grams and a total cycle time of around half a second. Depending on the application, the series can be used as a stand-alone solution or combined with linear units.

IEF-Werner will also be presenting its extensive range of components for handling technology, which can be adapted to individual applications. These include the Domiline manual adjustment unit as well as rotary tables, spindle and cantilever axes, direct and toothed belt drives of various sizes.

The Robostack Flex palletizing robot can be seen digitally on video. The palletizing system is based on the modular and compact Variostack palletizer. Instead of standard linear handling as in the Variostack, the Robostack was specially developed for the integration of a robot and the palletizer frame was reinforced accordingly. In the Flex expansion stage, IEF-Werner equips the system with variable feed belts and electrically controllable lifting forks, among other things—compressed air is completely dispensed with. This allows the system to process different tray sizes flexibly and 100 percent electrically.
