By incorporating the EVE Energy factory for cylindrical batteries into the Global Lighthouse Network, the smart manufacturing facility becomes the world's first lighthouse factory for such energy suppliers. This prestigious award, which is emphasized to symbolize the pinnacle of global "intelligent" and digital manufacturing, highlights EVE Energy's pioneering role in comprehensive smart transformation enabled by the use of more than 40 digital tools. Notably, it includes a fully digital system for the research and development, production, and distribution of the batteries. The installed production lines operate at high speed, producing around 300 cylindrical batteries per minute. The key manufacturing steps are said to be fully automated. An AI-based system ensures uninterrupted 24/7 operation. The facility efficiency is stated by the operator to be 95 percent. Since quality assurance is also AI-driven, the company enjoys a first-pass yield exceeding 97 percent. Inspection is flawless and takes just 0.3 seconds per battery cell. Additionally, focusing on smart systems in production and development has reduced energy consumption by over 55 percent and CO2 emissions by over 60 percent since 2022.
