The company Fu Chun Shin Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd. (FCS) was founded in 1974. The name originally comes from a lathe factory that Chairman Po Hsun Wang founded together with his brothers on Fu Chun Road in Tainan, Taiwan. In 1978, FCS successfully transformed into a successful and now globally active manufacturer of plastic injection molding machines.

The company has since developed perfectly. In 1991, FCS moved to its current location in Guanmiao. There, in response to the growing scope of business and increasingly international activities, a global operations headquarters was established. In addition to its headquarters in Guanmiao, Taiwan, FCS operates four production facilities in Dongguan, Ningbo, and Qianwan on the Chinese mainland, as well as in India. FCS is also the only publicly listed injection molding machine manufacturer in Taiwan.

"Today, users are no longer just looking for a machine – they need a comprehensive production solution. Our program includes, as a core component of such solutions, not only single injection molding machines but also multi-component systems," emphasizes Jude Tsai, Area Manager at FCS. "For example, we have recently added a large two-plate multi-component injection molding machine to our portfolio, which is ideal for manufacturing large two-color and multi-color products in the automotive, household appliance, and furniture industries." These machines are particularly suitable for large housings for household appliances, integrated headlight covers, continuous taillight covers, car windows, and plastic panels for the automotive industry. The clamping force ranges from 1,000 to 3,300 tons.

Energy-saving servo drives

But the newly optimized generation of standard toggle hydraulic injection molding machines also stands out with attractive features. These machines are now available with energy-saving servo drives, among other things. They find widespread application in industries such as household goods, stationery, or the automotive sector. They are particularly suitable for components of multifunction printers, computers, and other electronic peripherals.

Jude Tsai, Area Manager at FCS: "The German market remains the most technologically advanced in the world. We are pleased that a significant number of users now trust our machines. Because if we can succeed in the German market, we can be successful anywhere in the world."(Image: FCS)

"A significant factor for many users when choosing an injection molding machine is now the smallest possible CO2 footprint in production," explains Tsai. "In addition to factors such as a highly energy-efficient design and the use of energy-saving components in our machines, which require up to 30 percent less energy in the production process, our users can also process recycled materials very effectively with our systems. The multi-component machines, which combine multiple work steps on one machine, also contribute to this sustainable approach."

Intelligent and sustainable manufacturing

And this is also reflected in the machines showcased at the K trade fair – FCS presents itself with a fully electric, high-performance 2K machine and another system that processes recycled material. Under the motto "Intelligent Manufacturing and Sustainable Practice," FCS showcases a wide range of fully electric shaping solutions.

With processes such as microfoaming technology and intelligent factory systems, the injection molding machine manufacturer presents sustainable shaping applications that include single- and two-color, precise and energy-saving as well as multi-material solutions. In doing so, the company comprehensively addresses the global market demand for highly efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent manufacturing.

German market as a global benchmark

In Europe, especially in Germany, the company has now been able to install numerous machines. "We are quite proud of that," admits Tsai. "The German market remains the most technically advanced in the world. We are pleased that a whole range of users now trust our machines. Because if we can succeed in the German market, then we can be successful anywhere in the world."
