Non-powered load carriers such as pallets or reusable transport packaging have been difficult to digitize. A new generation of smart IoT trackers is now creating the conditions for more transparency in industrial logistics processes.

A key challenge for smooth supply chains in the industry is to ensure that all necessary parts and equipment arrive at the right time—this applies to transports between own sites and warehouses as well as to logistic coordination with suppliers, partners, and customers. To optimize these processes, the digitization of industrial transport chains has advanced, thanks to GPS technology in many vehicles. However, there is still a gap in most companies that has eluded digitalization: non-powered load carriers.
