Europe's first industrial AI factory has officially started operations in Munich, marking the launch of the Telekom Industrial AI Cloud. According to a press release, Agile Robots, among others, will train its basic AI model for robotics there in future using high-performance computing infrastructure that was set up jointly by Deutsche Telekom and Nvidia.

The humanoid robot Agile One symbolically pressed the start button of the new cloud infrastructure as part of a ceremonial opening, accompanied by guests from politics and business, including Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil. The aim of the AI factory is to significantly accelerate training processes for industrial AI and drive forward the development of physical AI applications.

Agile Robots is one of the first users of the new platform and aims to further expand the autonomous performance of its robotics solutions in particular. The company, founded in 2018 by experts from the German Aerospace Center, has grown rapidly in recent years and has already installed more than 20,000 systems in industrial environments worldwide.

With the new AI infrastructure in Munich, Telekom and Nvidia are also strengthening the regional tech ecosystem in which Agile Robots, with over 1,000 employees, bundles research, development and production. The recently unveiled humanoid robot Agile One is designed to work safely with people and existing automation solutions in industrial environments in particular.
