Yokogawa is launching two new modules for the ScopeCorder family. Both are specifically designed to meet the requirements for precise DC offset measurements and power-accurate waveform analysis in applications such as e-mobility, data centers and UPS systems. The 720252 model is a 1 MS/s, 16-bit isolation module with extended DC offset adjustability and a Hi-Z input mode >1 GOhm, which minimizes the load on battery cells with milli-ohm internal resistance. This allows both large DC voltage components such as battery bias and very small overlaps to be observed simultaneously.

The manufacturer specifies frame rates up to measurement displays in the 1 mV/div range and a DC coupling with a very steep edge characteristic, which also reliably displays low-frequency fluctuations from 0 to 10 Hz. The module builds on the functions of its predecessor 701251, but extends the offset control range and thus increases the range of applications in cell research, quality assurance and measurement tasks in AI infrastructure or server supply systems.

The power measurement module 720301 combines a direct voltage input with a separate current input for sensors in one module and provides guaranteed DC/AC waveform accuracy for voltage, current and power analysis. In combination with the power analysis functions of the DL950/SL2000 (options /G05 or /MT1), the module enables precise RMS and power calculations as well as cycle-by-cycle analyses with a freely definable measuring period down to 0.1 ms.

Practical functions such as triggers on power parameters and harmonics as well as the ability to link power measurements synchronously with multi-physics signals, such as temperature, sound or acceleration, and in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN-FD, LIN or SENT) simplify test setups for powertrain analysis, backup power validation and synchronized laboratory tests.

From E-Mobility to Household AAppliances

Both modules are intended for the ScopeCorder series SL2000, DL950 and DL350 and are aimed at developers and test engineers in the fields of battery systems, e-mobility, UPS/emergency power technology, data center supply as well as mechatronics and household appliances. While the 720252 is specially designed for high-resolution fluctuation analyses on cells and modules, the 720301 addresses demanding power measurements with guaranteed accuracy and high temporal resolution, such as for recording power peaks when switching to emergency power generators or for analyzing transient processes in electric drives.
